I thought I’d share with you some of the contents of my inspiration folder. For about two years I have been saving every pic that i liked, so now I have a ton of pictures on my laptop. It is fun to look back and see what kinds of things spoke to me and how these visual triggers changed over time. It is basically like a historical survey of things that reflect parts of me in some way, kind of like a diary. Here is a selection of recent additions. At the moment I guess I like couples, cute animals and strange hair colours, though i’m not sure what the last one says about me :)
Do you guys keep an inspiration folder or a visual diary of some sort?

Such a great idea. I think I’ll do the same on my blog; thanks for the wonderful idea!
I do keep a copy of things that inspire me. It’s very handy when I’m trying to think of things for my craft store :D
I love your devious, creative, delicious mind! ;)
I really like your idea of keeping an inspiration folder. I’m gonna start doing it right away :-)

I keep my visual inspirations on Pinterest. Most of the things I pin are because the photos attract me. A good photo call sell you on almost anything!

I just have pics of my kids. And the mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford.
it’s nice we have pinterest to do that hard work for us AND we no longer have to take up space on our hard drive. It’s also fun to look over all our old pictures and collections to see what we do or don’t still like.
can you believe i had never heard of pinterest until i started this blog. but everyone keeps talking about it, it must be pretty awesome
What a great idea to keep a folder of visual inspirations.
I do keep an ideas folder with pictures and articles that give brief moments of inspiration, that if I didn’t the idea would be lost after about 2 minutes. Memory like a goldfish, thats 1 of my issues. :)
wow love these!
Is that Kasimir or Romeo??
The first picture is from Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, right?
Love the old school Madonna one! And keeping a visual diary is a cool idea actually
