This time of the year you can often find me wearing different shades of black on my nails. I say black, because from far away they all look black, but if you look closer you can see a hint of colour. I always veer towards richer shades like these in Autumn and Winter, I think they complement the feel of heavy cold-weather fabrics nicely, like wool or velvet. Here are some more close-ups of my favourite nearly black colours.

I love dark colours in the winter time too! Right now, I’m wearing a super dark brown, almost black shade. It looks so glam!

Oo I like all these colours, and would wear them all year around! That green is fabulous – I usually have to layer a lighter green over black to get anywhere near that sort of colour, it’s gorgeous!

Oh, I just got Essie Wicked and I love it- I’m actually wearing it now! But I do sometimes think that it looks too close to black. For winter though I think it looks good :)

I love love love the blue color! But I’m not sure I see the point of paying a ton for nail polishes. What’s the difference between these name brand kinds and brands that cost less? Are there differences I should be taking into consideration?
Love these colors, especially the dark green. Darker nail polishes are my favorite part of fall/winter…OPI You Don’t Know Jacques is a great gray based color too!

just got a manicure and the color looks almost identical to Essie Wicked! (the last one) My color was by OPI though and was called “Midnight in Moscow”
I love the look of Essie Wicked – I’m adding it to my “must try” list! Lately I’ve been rocking the dark purple shade of the Nails, Inc. magnetic polish, I believe it’s called Houses of Parliament. It’s a really pretty dark purple on it’s own and very cool with the magentic pattern.

I love dark colours at any time of the year – my favourite out of these is the OPI Here today one. But my all time favourite is still Chanel´s Rouge Noir.
i also like rouge noir, but Essie’s Wicked is quite a lot cheaper and a really close dupe.
