Bucket List – Things to learn and do

Since joining pinterest I found lots of pictures that don’t just inspire me to make or wear something, but to learn a skill or do something. Here are a few pics that I am adding to my visual bucket list:

paint

grow fruits and vegetables

play the piano

horseback riding

ceramics

swim

bike through the city

make my own furniture

grow my hair

have lots of pets

learn how to sow clothes

How many have you done of this list? I’ve got this done with enough practice to say I’m decent: paint, grow fruits and vegetables, swim, grow my hair, and there are pets in this house. As for what I agree with this post about (that I’d love to pick up on these skils): playing the piano a bit, horseback riding, ceramics…is a lost cause for me so I think we’ll skip that…, bike through the city will be a must for my apartment next year, making my own furniture (hey why not? If it’s inexpensive and solid!), and I would love to learn a few basic patterns for sewing my own clothes.
What are you taking away from this list?

  2. What great timing – I am literally just about to make a list of all the new things I want to do/learn in my free time! Top of mine is to get certified to scuba dive, thanks for the inspiration!

  3. biking through Washington DC is a very stressful activity, although I do find it cute and inspirational seeing girls biking wearing heels and light-wight dresses :)

  4. I really want to learn to sew too. It’s next on my list. :) I really hope to get a bike this year too. It just looks so enjoyable and it’s been years since I’ve been on a bike.

  5. My bucket list would be full of DIY stuff. I think it’s silly how we tend to hire people to do all sorts of things for us when really if we put in a little bit of effort I’m sure a number of those odd jobs we could do ourselves!
    Great post :)
