17 Iconic Signature Looks
Today's topic: Signature looks.
What do Tilda Swinton, Diana Vreeland, Isabel Marant and Audrey Hepburn (+ the 13 other women below) have in common? They all have a very distinct personal style, a look that is uniquely their own. Now I'm not usually a fan of inspiration posts without a purpose and I'm not posting these photos to show you 'examples' of signature looks that you could adopt. Instead, I want this set of images to inspire you to develop your own personal signature - a specific look that represents your personal style and aesthetic ideals. What exactly is a signature look? It's a certain combination of several elements that lie at the heart of your personal style. A signature look can include a beauty look, a colour palette, a proportion or very specific items, but above all your signature look should represent the essence of your overall style. How closely you define your signature look depends on your personal preference: Grace Coddington for example has a super specific signature look: no to minimal make up, her amazing red hair and loose-fitting, monochrome pieces. On the other end of the spectrum is someone like Audrey Hepburn, whose look always featured one very defined element (her hair and make up) and otherwise varied quite a lot, but without ever diluting her iconic gamine/50s look.
